At the end of grade 2, my child, was struggling to read. From June until December, my child saw Carey once a week, and by mid December, my child was reading at grade level. Carey evaluated where my child was, and discovered problems that were not being addressed. Not only did Carey address the problems, but worked with my child to improve my child's confidence, and gave my child skills to use in the classroom. I would highly recommend Carey to any family, who has a child struggling in the classroom.

"My son was diagnosed with childhood apraxia of speech by Carey at Treehouse Speech Therapy. He had been dealing with a different pathologist for a good year and a half, with no diagnosis or explanation of his delay. Since my son's diagnosis by Carey, we are now making leaps and bounds and everyone around him can see his amazing progress, now that we know what we are dealing with! Carey has been heaven-sent and is always handy to listen and assist with any advice. My son has developed an amazing relationship with her and we will never forget her for helping him find his voice! We couldn't be happier with her services!"

My daughter had been attending speech therapy twice a month since the age of 22 months and only had 4 intelligible words by the time she was 4.5 years old. Finally a therapist we'd been seeing for a year said she suspected it was apraxia. I knew we couldn't continue on the path we were on and luckily found out about PROMPT therapy online through parent forums for speech delayed children. After checking out the www.PROMPT.org website we found Carey in Wawota, Saskatchewan which was a 2.5 hour trek from our home in Manitoba, but one we were willing to take weekly for our daughter. We began our therapy sessions in January of 2017 at the age of 4 years and 9 months of age. Within 2 months our daughter had over 20 words and at 7 months of working with Carey weekly we have well over 60 words with lots more happening weekly. Carey knew immediately after speaking with me that our daughter had severe Childhood Apraxia of Speech and after our first evaluation she reassured us that PROMPT could help her. Carey is amazing with my daughter, forming an instantaneous bond of trust and understanding. Even on our toughest days, Carey welcomes us with a smile and a sense of calmness that allows each session to be incredibly successful. She is someone we feel extremely lucky to have found and have on our therapy team. She is the reason my daughter can communicate and I can not say enough about her abilities! Thank you Carey for giving my daughter a voice!
